Harris Stanley Omodt

Harris S. Omodt, 93, died Sunday, April 17, 2005 at Valley View Nursing Home in Houston, MN. Harris was born February 23, 1912 on the family farm in Houston, MN to Will and Karine (Pederson) Omodt. He married Grace Heintz on December 16, 1941 in Houston, MN. Harris lived his entire life on the original Omodt homestead dating from 1854. Harris was a graduate of Houston High School. He farmed through 2004.Survivors include his daughter, Lucille Omodt Crow of Excelsior, MN; two grandsons, Bennet (Stacie) Crow of St. Louis Park, MN and Andrew Crow of Excelsior , MN; five nieces; two nephews; and one sister-in-law, Bertha Refsland Omodt, of Tacoma, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Grace, one sister, Ruby, and three brothers, Maurice, Bertram and Clemont.Funeral services are Thursday, April 21, 2005 at the Evangelical Free Church, Houston, MN at 11:00am. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday April 20th at Hoff Funeral Homes Chapel Houston, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Money Creek Cemetery.
