Harriet B. Langseth

St. Charles, Harriet B. Langseth, 91, of St. Elizabeth's' Nursing Home in Wabasha, and a former longtime St. Charles resident, died Monday morning October 4, 2004 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Wabasha. She was born June 28, 1913 in Peterson to Peter and Thea (Boyum) Agrimson. She lived with her family in Peterson before moving to Sebeka, MN. Her mother died when Harriet was 10, she then returned to Peterson to live with family. Harriet married Melvin Langseth on April 17, 1932 in Glyndon, MN. The couple farmed in rural Lewiston until retiring and moving to St. Charles in 1976. Melvin died on April 26, 1986. She moved to Rushford in November of 2001 and to St. Elizabeth's Nursing Home of Wabasha in August of 2004. Harriet is a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in St. Charles and a former member of Arendahl Lutheran Church in rural Peterson. She was also a member of Faith's W.E.L.C.A. group. She enjoyed many hours making quilts. Survivors include four children; Marlyn (Donelda) Langseth of Minneiska, Phyllis Langseth of Stillwater, Thea (Terry) Schultz of Wabasha andSharon (Ron) Kalmes of St. Paul, 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, three brothers; Paul (Ethel) Agrimson of Peterson, Robert (Joy) Agrimson of St. Paul and Orrin (June) Agrimson of Vancouver, WA, two sisters Margaret Currie of Rushford and Bernette Vraspir of Seattle, WA. In addition to her husband Melvin a granddaughter Kimberly Vallandby preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be 11AM Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church in St. Charles with Pastor Dr. Mark Wilms officiating. Burial will follow in Arendahl Cemetery in rural Peterson. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Home's ? St. Charles Chapel. Friends may also call one hour before services Thursday at the church.
