Lewiston, Harold William Ferguson, 86, of rural Lewiston died Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Lake Winona Manor. Harold was born October 14, 1926 in Lewiston to John and Dora (Henry) Ferguson. He attended school in Utica through the 8th grade to work on the family farm. He moved with his parents and siblings to rural Fremont where they lived for many years. Harold and Darlene Schott were married May 4, 1963 in Lewiston. Darlene was a good caregiver for her husband. In May they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family. He was a member of St. Paul's Church. Harold enjoyed farming, going to auctions & sales barns, Winona County Fair in St. Charles, holiday gatherings, birthdays and horse racing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Darlene, three daughters; Jeanette (Jim) Tomlin of Onalaska, Joyce (Steve) Buckbee of Lewiston and Candie (Jeff) Landro of Winona, grandchildren; Laura, Nicole and Brandon Tomlin, Jordan, Justin and Jessica Buckbee. He is also survived by sisters; Della Malmin and Doris (Merle) Bearden both of Rochester, brothers Gordy (Linda) Ferguson of Dover, Stan (Sue) Ferguson and Junior Ferguson both of Winona. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Orville, sisters Bernice and Hazel, sisters-in-law Germaine and Eva and brothers-in-law David Green and Bernard Heim.Funeral services will be 11AM Saturday at St. Paul's Church in Lewiston with the Reverend Louise Stromberg officiating. Burial will follow in Fremont Scotch Cemetery. Friends may call at St. Paul's Church from 4-7 PM Friday and one hour before services on Saturday.
