Harold Morton Crow

Harold Morton Crow, 101, of St. Charles, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Cottagewood Senior Living in Rochester.Harold was born November 14, 1913 in Dover Township to Morton and Minnie (Lybarger) Crow. He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1932 and started farming the family farm upon the death of his father in 1934. Harold married Donna Millard at her home in St. Charles on October 6, 1951. In 1973, he semi-retired from farming and moved into St. Charles, while continuing some farming and also selling real estate and seed corn. He served on the School Board, A.S.C. committee in Dover Township and also worked out of A.S.C office in Olmsted County. Harold was a member of the St. Charles United Methodist Church, Rising Sun Masonic Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star in St. Charles. He also served as a board member of Winona County Old Settlers in Winona. He retired in 1993. Harold enjoyed buying and feeding cattle, the history of trains and railroads and hunting.Survivors include his wife Donna, two daughters, Carol Anderson and Nancy Crow both of Rochester, two grandchildren; Brian Anderson (Amie) of Edmonton, Alberta, CA and Katie Anderson of Minneapolis, a sister Grace Good of Kewanee, IL and two nephews, Tom (Sue) Good of Galva, IL and Bill (Norma) Good of Kewanee, IL. Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Hoff Funeral Service in St. Charles with the Reverend Heather E. Klason officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in St. Charles. A reception will follow services at the funeral home.
