HOFF FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE - HOUSTON 507-896-3127 HOUSTON, MINN. - Harold L. Cruze, 94, of Houston, Minn. died on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at his home. Harold was born on May 25, 1916, in Morris, Minn. to George and Ruth (Draper) Cruze. He was raised in Morris and graduated from Morris High School. Harold worked in the Houston area in the Civilian Conservation Corp., where he met his wife. On July 13, 1941, Harold was united in marriage with Lylah Thronson in Outing, Minn. He worked in the grocery industry all of his career, moving back and forth between California and Minnesota over the years. Harold and Lylah moved to Houston ten years ago where Harold lived the remainder of his life. He was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge and was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston. Harold is survived by his wife, Lylah; a son, Rodney "Rocky" (Carol) Cruze of Riverside, California; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Barbara Longo, three brothers and two sisters. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston with the Rev. Lane Zaffke officiating. Following the service, Harold's body will be cremated with burial of his cremated body in the Stone Church Cemetery in Houston. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Houston where there will be a Masonic Service following the visitation.
