Harold J. Cox, 88, of rural Houston, MN died on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at his home.
Harold was born on July 4, 1927, in Wilton, WI. He was raised in Wilton and graduated from Wilton High School. He was united in marriage with Edith Cox on October 29, 1949. In 1962, Harold purchased a farm in rural Houston, MN where he farmed for many years. Besides farming, Harold enjoyed dancing, picking apples, and coin collecting.
He is survived by four children: Stanley (Cheryl) Cox of Austin, MN; Marvin (Chris) Cox of Houston, Esther (Tom) Hicks of Arcadia, WI, and Kelly (Barb) Cox of Houston; 13 grandchildren: Danny, Suzanne, Janelle, Melanie, Amy, Nick, Jim, Sarah, Sam, Steven, Amber, Ashley, and Anthony; and several great grandchildren; and by his nine siblings: Alice, Robert, Joanne, Wade, Royce, John, James, Linda, and Gary.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith; parents, Harold Cox and Gladys (Wallace) Cox; a grandson, Jeremy Cox; and a great-granddaughter, Isabel Cox.
