Harold "Hutsy" Hengel

ROLLINGSTONE, MN - Harold "Hutsy" A. Hengel, 89, of Rollingstone died on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Winona Health in Winona, MN.
Harold was born on February 17, 1927, in Rollingstone to Edward and Anna (Guenther) Hengel. He was raised in Rollingstone and graduated from Holy Trinity School. He served in the U.S. Army as a medic during WWII. On June 23, 1948, he was united in marriage with Sylvia Speltz at Holy Trinity Church. Harold owned and operated Rollingstone Co-op and later worked as a rural mail carrier, retiring in the late 1980's. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, the St. Nicholas Society, and the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; twelve children: Sharon (Ken) Heppelmann of Rochester; Marian (Chuck) Rinn of Buffalo, WY; Peg (Dave) Walch of Altura; Leann (John) Balow of Rochester; Jackie, (Jerry) Konzen of San Clemente, CA; Mary Jo (Scott) Wagner of Arvada, CO; Reyne (Bruce) Belter of Wyattville; Ron (Rose) Hengel of Rollingstone; Terry (Lori) Hengel of Rochester; Joan (Keith) Johnson of Winona; Jonelle (Craig) Duellman of Winona; and Dan (Anita) Hengel of Chatfield; 31 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Cyril; sisters, Henrietta and Marian; and a great-granddaughter, Miranda Rinn.
Visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Church in Rollingstone on Sunday, March 27th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., and one hour prior to the Mass on Monday. The Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 28, at Holy Trinity Church with the Rev. William Kulas officiating.

Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview, MN is assisting the family with arrangements.
