Houston, MNGynther Muhle, 94, died Friday, July 25, 2008, at Valley View Nursing Home in Houston, MN. Gynther was born November 13, 1913, in Houston, MN, to Halvor and Margit (Skaalid) Muhle. He married Glendon Corey on May 25, 1968, in Houston, MN. Gynther served the in U.S. Army during WWII and served in the European Theater. Gynther worked in road construction and was an over the road truck driver. He was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston, the American Legion in Houston, VFW in Caledonia and the Houston County Historical Society. Gynther is survived by a niece, Helen Dyrdahl of Houston, MN; great nieces, Kristie and Sandra and great nephew, Steve; and 8 great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Glendon; three brothers, Ted, Clarence and Dan, and twin infant brother, Gyrtene, four sisters, Christine, Selma, Tina and Hilda and niece, Marjorie Whetsone.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2008, at 11:00am at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church with the Reverend Lane Zaffke officiating. Burial will in the Oak Ridge Lutheran Cemetery.
