St. Charles, Guy Eric "Blackie" Elliott, 46, of St. Charles died Saturday November 22nd in a one vehicle accident on Winona County 37, east of St. Charles. Guy was born May 7, 1957 in Winona to Norman and Betty (Richardson) Elliott. He was raised in Lewiston and attended Lewiston-Altura High School, later receiving his GED. On November 3, 1979 Guy and Rita Elliott were married. They have made their home in St. Charles since July of 1983. Guy worked for TRW of Winona as a welder fabricator for 18 years. Blackie was a fan of dirt track racing and had raced street stock car #57. He had been the pit-man for the Randy Geisler race team, #76, for several years. Blackie enjoyed coon hunting. He was also known to rescue a damsel in distress. Friends describe Blackie as a 'knight in shining armour '; he would lend a helping hand anytime, anyplace and anywhere. The music he loved was by Kid Rock, Rob Zombie, Godsmack, Creed and Three Doors Down. Survivors include his wife Rita, four children, Cindy (Paul Swails) Elliott of Winona; Carrie Monahan, Brandi (Lance Krackow) Elliott, and Brodie Elliott all of St. Charles, a grandchild is due to be born in June, a granddaughter Ashlynn died this past year. Further survivors include his mother Betty Elliott of St. Charles, four sisters, Diane (Archie Daniels) Wells of Altura; Donna (Dave) Belter of Winona; Judy (Doug) Martin of Dublin, OH and Joyce (Dave) Keller of Winona, two brothers Rick Elliott of Virginia Beach, VA and Ian (Judy) Elliott of Westerville, OH and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his granddaughter Ashlynn his father Norman preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Home's ? St. Charles Chapel with Pastor Sharon Johnson of St. Charles United Methodist Church officiating. Burial follow in Oak Grove Cemetery at Eyota. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Tuesday and one hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
