Grace Irene Iverson

HOFF FUNERAL HOMES - RUSHFORD CHAPEL 507-864-7771 RUSHFORD, MINN. - Grace Iverson, a lifelong resident of Rushford, Minn. passed away at Winona Community Memorial Hospital in Winona, Minn. on Dec. 11, 2005. She was born in Rushford on November 29, 1914, to Selmer and Lena (Vitse) Hoiland and graduated from Rushford High School in 1933. She married Robert (Brink) Iverson on October 14, 1939. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, an son, Ronald, her parents, two brothers and one sister. Grace is survived by three children: Ross of Rushford, Minn., Gayle Noel of Onalaska, Wis. and Nancy (Jim) Atkinson of Peterson, Minn. Ten grandchildren: Tom Iverson, Amy Peterson, Jon-Paul, Patrick, and Joey Barillas, Leslie Gilberts, Jackie (Chris) Stenzel, Julie (Mike) Boyum, and Todd and Matthew Atkinson; eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She had resided in her home until a year ago when she became a resident of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. Grace was a pleasant and caring mother and grandmother who remained active and interested in her children and grandchildren, and she will be sadly missed and always remembered for her kindness. The family prefers memorials to be directed to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home. There will be a memorial service planned for Grace at a later date in January.
