St. Charles, Gordon D. Mollenhauer, 79, of St. Charles and formerly of Owatonna, died Friday December 21, 2007 at Golden Living Center Whitewater in St. Charles. He was born July 4, 1928 in Moland, MN to Delbert and Mary K. (Kubicek) Mollenhauer. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Gordon and Verna Gordon were married November 26, 1949 in Owatonna, where they made their home. In Owatonna Gordon managed the Holiday Station, worked as a mechanic and for Schwan's Ice Cream. They moved to St. Charles in 1978, where he worked until retirement at North Star Foods. He was a member of the St. Charles United Methodist Church and the St. Charles American Legion Post. Survivors include his wife Verna, four children, Teresa (Jon) Arnold of St. Charles; Thomas (Christie) Mollenhauer of Crystal, MN; Trudi (David) Olson of Owatonna and Tamra (Donald) Parsons of Spring Valley, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three brothers, Donald (Sylvia) Mollenhauer of Dundas, MN; Sidney (Lois) Mollenhauer of Eagan and Rudy (Kay) Mollenhauer of Owatonna, four sisters, Kay (Bernard) Prinzing of Emily, MN; Louise (John) Ryan of Faribault; Darlene (Earl) Ulrich of Faribault and Phyllis (James) Heagle of Randall, MN. He was preceded in death by a daughter Taisha Parsons an infant son and his parents. Funeral Services will be 4PM Sunday at the St. Charles United Methodist Church Hall with the Reverend David Laechel officiating. Spring burial will be in Saratoga Cemetery.
