Gladys Fix

Gladys Marie Fix – St. Charles,          The Funeral Mass for Gladys Marie Fix of St. Charles will be 10 AM Monday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Callahan officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in St. Charles.     Mrs. Fix died Thursday (January 9, 2003) at her home in St. Charles.     Gladys Marie Schuett, 87, was born July 20, 1915 to Fred and Ruth Schuett in rural St. Charles. On May 9, 1933 she married Ambrose R. Fix, they farmed most of their lives in the St. Charles and Chatfield area. In 1979 they retired from farming and moved in to St. Charles in 1981. She enjoyed traveling in their motor home and camping. Ambrose died January 7, 1999.     Gladys was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Chatfield Saddle Club and the Winnebago Club. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ellen (Richard) Holtorf of Rochester, Joyce Martin of Dover, and Lynda (Galen) Munz of Garrison, ND, one son Dennis (Norma) Fix of Amarillo, TX, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 step-great grandchild, 2 great-great- grandchildren, three sisters Helen Wiebold of Rochester, Jean Schuett of Rochester and Carrole (David) Nelson of Altura.     Friends may call from 3 – 6 PM Sunday and 8:30 – 9:30 AM Monday at Hoff Funeral Home’s – St. Charles Chapel. There will be a Prayer Service at 6 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
