Houston, MN - Gertrude Elizabeth Schrandt, age 85 years, was born June 14, 1932 to Earl and Gertrude (Monahan) Seebold. She died December 2, 2017 surrounded by loved ones at home at the farm. She is survived by her much beloved husband, Robert (Sam) Schrandt following 41 years of marriage, travel, and adventure. She is also survived by her "Greatest Treasures", Mary (Roger) Kingsley, Tim Rank, David (Jackolin) Rank, Paul (Julie) Rank, Steve (Jane) Rank, Nancy (David ) White, Allyn Uebel, Debbi Foster, Jeanette Schrandt, and Patricia (Barry) Schrandt. Mom also left a legacy of numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
She is further survived by sisters, Patrice (Bob Bruno) Van Pelt, Maureen (Calmer II) Wood, and Mary (James) Hadley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Bruce, her parents, and siblings David, James, Stan, and Beatrice.
Our Ma, "GooGoo", "Goog", loved life. She loved to fish, camp, crafts of every kind, gamble, and cook. She was the "Crock-pot Queen". She had a strong faith, and many great and comforting visits with Pastor Flesch. She played cards and expressed her faith opinions with Father Roy and Father Don.
"And now it's time to turn off the lights, shut off the T.V., and go to bed."
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2017 at the Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview, Minnesota.
