LEWISTON, MINN. - Gertrude Anna Prudoehl, 91, of Lewiston died Monday, March 3, 2003, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, Minn. Gertrude was born on July 25, 1911, at Garvin Heights to Henry and Marie (Fuchs) Wessel. She was raised at Garvin Heights and attended the Pleasant Valley School in Winona. Gertrude married Herbert L Prudoehl on July 2, 1940. She and Herbert lived in Wyattville where they ran the Wyattville Feed Mill for over 20 years. They later moved to Winona where Gertrude worked at St. Theresa?s College. Following her retirement Gertrude and Herbert moved to Lewiston. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston. She is survived by one Son Dennis Prudoehl of Rushford; three grandchildren: Debbie, Shelly, and Brian (Wanda); two great grandchildren: Johnathan and Bradley; and one sister, Florence Fahrendholz of Winona. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, one brother, and a daughter-in-law. There will be a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 6th at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston with the Rev. Peter Schuster officiating. Burial will be at the Wilson Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Wilson, Minn. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Lewiston Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
