St. Charles, Geraldine Ann "Gerry" Slavin, 80, of St. Charles died Sunday January 19th at her home. Gerry was born December 11, 1933 in Winona to Gene and Bonnie Miller. She and Lester Wiskow were married September 21, 1956. They made their home in St. Charles. Les died June 18, 1979. She and Ralph "Bud" Slavin were married in Las Vegas in February of 1981. He died in 1998. Gerry worked for Home Produce of St. Charles. She worked for Camera Art in Lewiston for 23 years, until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, especially 'thrillers' and 'mysteries' and going out for dinner with her girlfriends. Gerry and Bud enjoyed traveling to the south in their motor home. She loved and missed her wiener dogs Sparky and Bonnie. Survivors include a daughter Kathy Wiskow and her son Chad Wiskow of Rochester, a son Mike Wiskow of Rochester, nine step-children; Maggie & Roger Peterson of Dover, Bob & Nora Slavin of Rollingstone, John and Sherrie Slavin, Mary Jo & Dan Schweitzer, Tom & Deb Slavin, Ron and Jackie Slavin of St. Charles, Rita & Gene Nesler of Altura, Dave & Julie Slavin of Tenstrike and Carol & David Packer of Kellogg, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a special cousin, Jan and Shirley Olson and close friends Arlene & Jim Braun. She was preceded in death by her two husbands and a daughter Patti. Services to Celebrate Gerry's life will be at 12:30 PM Thursday at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service of St. Charles, led by funeral celebrant Jenny Hoff. Friends may call from 11 AM until time of services. Coffee and cookies will be served following services. Burial of Gerry's cremated body will be in Hillside Cemetery in the spring.
