Gene L. Turner

Elba, Gene L. Turner, 61, of LaCrescent and formerly of Elba died Saturday morning February 5, 2005 at LaCrescent Healthcare Center. Gene was born June 4, 1943 in Wabasha County to Maynard and Lorraine Turner. He attended Lake City Public Schools. He later moved to Elba with his family. Gene worked for Jewel Nursery at Lake City. For many years he worked for Hubbard Turkey Plant in Altura. IN 2003 he moved to Mosher Veterans Home in Dresbach.. For the past month he has lived at LaCrescent Healthcare Center. Survivors include his step-mother, Selma Turner of Elba, a sister Vivian (Elmo) Reineccius of Lake City, two half sisters, Lana (Rich) Lange of St. Charles and Gert (Dick) Wilson of Boy River, MN, two step brothers, Don Brunner of Spokane, WA and Al Brunner of Glenwood Springs, CO. His father, Maynard, his mother Lorraine, a sister, a half sister and a step brother have all preceded him in death. Private Family Services will be held at Hoff Funeral Home's ? St. Charles Chapel.
