Gail L. Bambenek

Gail L. Bambenek, 69, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Lake Winona Manor in Winona, MN. Gail was born May 5, 1939, in Winona, MN, to Lester and Elaine (Kurth) Johnson. She married William F. Bambenek on August 10, 1957, in Winona, MN. Gail was a life long homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Winona. Gail enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, trips to the casino, taking car rides and vacationing.Gail is survived by her husband, Bill; three sons, Peter (Colleen) of Stockton, MN, Rick (Beth) and Dan both of Minnesota City, MN; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; step-mother, Margaret Johnson; two brothers, Jerry (Laura) Johnson of Belleville, KS, and Tom Johnson of Farmington, MN; step brothers, Mitchell , Ronnie and Dennis Johnson; step sister, Jenny Johnson; and good friends, Marsha Bambenek and Donna Verdick. She was preceded in death by her parents.A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 8th, at 2:00pm, at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service Hansen Goodview Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
