Francis William House

Francis W. House, 83, of St. Charles died Wednesday January 10, 2007 at Whitewater Healthcare Center in St. Charles. Francis was born Easter Sunday, April 8, 1923 to William and Anna (Markwardt) House on the family farm in St. Charles Township. Francis attended District 59 Country School and was confirmed in 1937. He farmed with his parents and his brother Jesse. As a child he had been active in 4-H and showing at the state fair. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St. Charles. Survivors include three sisters, Evelyn Weilbacher of Carpentersville, IL, Ruby Rohloff of LeSeur and Lucille Kurtz of Citra, FL and 15 nieces and nephews. His parents, a brother Jesse House and two sisters, Vernice Anderson and Dolores Koenig preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 11AM Monday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with the Rev. Michael Hart officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in St. Charles. Friends may call from 2-5 PM Sunday at Hoff Funeral Home's - St. Charles Chapel.
