Forrest Earl Moen

HOUSTON, MINN. Forrest Earl Moen, 84, of Houston, died Saturday, September 3, 2005 at Caledonia Care and Rehab Center. Forrest was born May 14, 1921 to Tenes and Edna (Knutson) Moen in Houston, MN. He was a life long resident of the Houston area. In his younger years, he played baseball for different local teams. He married Alice E. Robertson; and farmed for many years until his retirement. He was a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, Houston, MN and participated in various 4-H activities. Forrest is survived by a daughter, Jean Moen, Houston, and three sons; Richard (Cheryl) Moen, LaCrescent, MN, Douglas (Jan) Moen, Caledonia, and Phil Moen, Houston. Also, three grandchildren; Joel, Terry, and Didra, and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alice, in June of 1998, and a son Brian. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Houston. Rev. Lane Zaffke will be the officiant. Visitation will be one hour before the service from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in the Stone Church Cemetery, Houston, MN. Memorials are suggested to Stone Church Cemetery, Houston.
