Florence L. Morsching was born on June 12, 1929 in Rochester, MN to Ernest and Bertha (Kewatt) Kelm. She passed peacefully on December 4, 2018 at the Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, MN. Florence graduated from Big Fork High school in 1947 and married Glen G. Morsching on June 5, 1948. They had 5 children.
Florence worked at home as a housewife and raised her 5 children and later worked as a cook at the Hospital in Frederic, WI and then as a Dietary Aid at the Chosen Valley Care Center until age 70. In her retirement, Florence enjoyed volunteering at the Chosen Valley Care Center. Florence was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary in Chatfield.
She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, ceramics, baking, reading, shopping and in her later years, puzzles and coloring. She enjoyed every minute spent visiting with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and their pets.
Florence is lovingly remembered by her children: Lon (Jane) Morsching of New Prague, Gwen (Glenn) Grabau of Fountain, Jean (Robert) Korpi of Gilbert, Rebecca Nieman of Chatfield, daughter in-law Michelle Morsching of Embarrass, her 13 grandchildren, her 16 great-grandchildren, her sister Nancy Weckwerth of Faribault, and her sister in-law Janet Morsching of Waterville.
Florence is preceded in death by her husband Glen, her parents Ernest & Bertha, her son Tony, her brother Vernon Kelm, and her brother in-law Stanley Weckwerth.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2018 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Chatfield with Pastor Peter J. Haugen officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian, MN at 1 p.m. Monday. Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers Florence wished to have donations towards St. Paul Lutheran's Elevator fund.
