Fern Beatrice Fix

St. Charles,Fern Beatrice Fix, 96, died Sunday April 20, 2008 at her home in rural St. Charles. Fern was born April 15, 1912 in Utica to Charles and Emma (Meilke) Marks. She and Andrew Fix were married January 9, 1929. They lived on a farm in St. Charles area. Fern was a homemaker and worked at St. Charles Press, Del's, Parkway and Travelers Caf?'s in St. Charles. She enjoyed camping at Pioneer Campsite, playing cards, knitting and crocheting. She belonged to Ridge Homemakers, was a 50 year member of the Sunshine Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #98, and was a charter member of the St. Charles Women of the Moose. Survivors include four sons; Curtis (Marge) Fix of Dover, Wayne (Jan) Fix of St. Charles, Lester and Ronald at home, five grandchildren; Vicki (Darrell) Koehler of Dover, Terry )Deanna) Fix of Grand Junction, CO, Britt (Tonia) Fix of St. Charles, Michael (Cathy) Fix of Andover, MN and Janell (Orville) Dahl of St. Charles, great-grandchildren Jason Koehler, Joshua Koehler, Nathan Dahl, Nickolas Dahl, Brianna Dobbs, Danielle Call, Chase Fix, Justin Fix and Lindsey Fix, great-great-grandchildren Jayden Koehler, Delaney Koehler, Layken Koehler, Kauri Dobbs, Soren Dobbs, Morgan Call, Preston Dahl and Cameron Dahl. She was preceded in death by her husband Andy on April 17, 1992 and by a son, one brother and a granddaughter. Friends may call from 5-8PM Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles.
