Fannie Persons

St. Charles, Fannie Lucille Persons, 86, of St. Charles died Wednesday January 7, 2004 at Whitewater Healthcare Center in St. Charles. Fannie was born October 26, 1917 in Larned, Kansas to Clyde and Rosa (Brown) Seitz. She attended McPherson College for two years and then was a rural school teacher in Kansas. On February 14, 1943 Fannie and Lloyd Duncanson were married. They later moved to St. Charles. Lloyd died December 18, 1982. Fannie married C. Myron Persons on August 10, 1986. Myron died In June of 2002. Fannie was a member of Heartland Community Church of St. Charles. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and teaching Sunday school. Survivors include two children, Ken (Jan) Duncanson of Nevis, MN and Janice (Jack) Thoreson of St. Charles, two step-children Charlene (Richard) Hicks of Guyana, South America and Karen (Dave) Richards of Kansas City, MO, a step daughter-in-law, Jan Person of Arizona, four grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren and a sister Beulah Strong of Topeka, Kansas. In addition to her husbands Lloyd and Myron, a step-son David Persons has died. Funeral Services will be 2PM Sunday at Hoff Funeral Home's ? St. Charles Chapel with Pastor Mark Pluim officiating. Burial will be in Warren Township Cemetery, rural Lewiston. Friends may call one hour before services at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to Camp Victoria, Heartland Community Church and The Gideons.
