Lewiston, Everett G. Rupprecht, 80, of rural Lewiston died Sunday June 29, 2008 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. He was born September 7, 1927 in Hillsdale Township, Winona County to Arthur and Laura (Mueller) Rupprecht. Everett attended school in Hillsdale, Silo, Lewiston and graduated from Rochester High School in 1945. On September 12, 1952 he married Della Ellinghuysen. He was baptized, confirmed and married at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Silo. The couple dairy farmed in Norton Township of Winona County until his retirement at the age of 80. Everett also sold mechanized feeding systems for Van Dale Company and for Rochester Silo and enjoyed many incentive trips with them. He was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Silo where he served as chairman of the congregation, president of the Lutheran Layman's League SE Minnesota zone, was a member of the Board of Education and was in the choir and the accordion band. Everett enjoyed traveling, meeting people from all parts of the world, visiting farm shows, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Della and their seven children; Jeffrey (Ann) Rupprecht of Minneapolis, Kim (Janet) Rupprecht of Pine Island, Dayton Rupprecht of Austin, TX, Jayne Rupprecht-Kettner (Rev. Vernon Kettner) of Winona, Bradley Rupprecht (Dr. Maria Schwartz) of Rochester, Thomas (Jeremi) Rupprecht of Roseville and Mary Beth Rupprecht of Winona, nine grandchildren; Katherine, Laura, Jordan, Zac, Lauren, Erin, Daniel, Ella and Zo? Rupprecht, a great-grandson Hunter and special friends Jennifer Wang and Roy Shi. Everett was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Gerhardt, Harold and Herbert. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Silo in rural Lewiston with the Reverend William Meilner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Home in Lewiston. They may also call one hour before services at the church.
