LEWISTONThe angels came to take Evelyn Rose Klug, 90 of Lewiston, home on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Saint Anne Extended Healthcare in Winona. Evelyn was born February 19, 1925 to Joseph and Rose (Vodraska) Miller in Caledonia, MN. She married Donald C. Klug in Freeburg, MN on May 19, 1942. Together they farmed in the Caledonia area until moving to the Fremont area in 1948. In 1971 they moved to Lewiston. Over the years she worked at Recreation Bar & Café and Rustic Bar & Café in Lewiston.Evelyn was a loving and caring person who cared deeply for her family. She especially enjoyed being surrounded by all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Some of her favorite activities included fishing, bowling, cooking, and gardening, in which she had a marvelous green thumb.Evelyn is survived by her children, Donald (Judy) Klug of Lewiston, Roselyn (Orlie) Moger of Lewiston, Janice Klug of LaCrosse, Richard (Donna) Klug of Chatfield, and Karen Harrison of Lewiston; 13 grandchildren, Julie, Jodi, Ronald, Koni, Roger, Jerry, Kathy, Jeanne, Mike, Mark, Matt, Holly, and Adam; 27 great-grandchildren; and sister, Lilly Henry of Lewiston.She is preceded in death by her husband; son, Raymond; grandson, Daniel; sisters, Dorothy Miller, Eleanor Klug, and Mary Klug; and brothers, Lawrence, Walter, William, and Robert. Services for Evelyn will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 17, 2015 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston with the Reverend Robert Stamschror officiating. Visitation will take place from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Hoff Funeral Home in Lewiston and one hour prior to the service at the church. Evelyn will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Caledonia, MN.
