Evelyn V. Janzow, 93, of Lewiston died Wednesday, August 16th at Sauer Health Care in Winona. Evelyn was born June 14, 1924 in Norton Township, Winona County to Walter and Ada (Ellinghuysen) Rupprecht. Before her marriage to Elmer Janzow on September 9, 1945, Evelyn worked for several area families, assisting them in their homes. They farmed north of Lewiston. Evelyn worked as a bookkeeper for Winona Hospital for many years. She was also an active Mary Kay representative. Evelyn was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church - Silo, and was active with Ladies Aid and the Silo Serenaders, as well as volunteering at Sauer Health Care.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Schrader of Eyota, six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a brother, Marvin (Donna) Rupprecht of Winona. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, a son Keith, a sister Vera Hoppe and a her son-in-law Leonard Schrader. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 22nd, at Immanuel Lutheran Church - Silo in rural Lewiston, with the Reverend William Meilner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
