Evelyn H. Ruhoff

Altura, MNEvelyn H. Ruhoff, 93, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the Lewiston Villa in Lewiston, MN. Evelyn was born February 28, 1912 in Trout Valley near Minnieska, MN to George and Lydia (Sodewasser) Maschka. She married Edmund H. Ruhoff on September 24, 1935 in Elba, MN. He died January 30, 1998. Evelyn was a homemaker who enjoyed following baseball, from little leaguers to the MN Twins, bowling, playing cards and keeping a flower garden. She especially is remembered for listening to KAGE radio on a daily basis. Evelyn was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Altura and its CCW. Evelyn was also a member of the Du-Mor Club and a bowling league. Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was proud of the fact that her four children all live in Altura, MN.Survivors include her four children, Jerry (Berniece) Ruhoff, Pat (John) Meisch, Ron (Yvonne) Ruhoff and Rich (Jana) Ruhoff all of Altura, MN; sixteen grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edmund, brother, Eugene and sister, Dolores. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, March 11, 2005 at 11:00am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. Shawn Haremza officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at Oak Ridge. Friends may call on Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church from 4-8:00pm and also 9-11:00am Friday prior to the service at the church.
