Evelyn B. Laska

Minnesota City, MNEvelyn B. Laska, 56, died Sunday, July 29, 2007, at Lake Winona Manor in Winona, MN. Evelyn was born February 22, 1951, in Ripon, WI, to August and Arlene (All) Sanders. She married John Laska on September 27, 1969, in LaCrescent, MN. Evelyn was a longtime homemaker and home health care aid for Winona County. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Minnesota City, MN. Evelyn was an avid Packers fan who enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandson, Colton and her chocolate lab, coco.Survivors include her husband, John; daughter, Kristie (Roy) Glodowski of Arcadia, WI; grandson, Colton; mother, Arlene Smolen of Columbus, WI; brother, Larry Sanders of Waupon, WI; sisters, Karen Rondeau of Winona, MN, and Marilyn Sanders of Winona, MN; step sister, Gloria Smolen of Marshall, WI; and step brother, Don Smolen. She was preceded in death by her father, August. A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2007, at 1:00pm at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service Hansen Chapel in Goodview, MN with the Rev. Donald Lovas officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery in Winona, MN. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-8:00pm and also one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
