Eva Martinson, 74 of Winona, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Winona Health.
Eva was born May 22, 1943 in La Crosse to William and Clara (Ekern) Staack. She graduated from Winona Senior High School. On February 17, 1962, she married Gerald "Jerry" Martinson in Winona. Eva worked as a Law Enforcement Dispatcher for Winona County for 30 years; a job she took great pride in. Eva and Jerry raised three daughters: Tammy, Kim and Jodi. They enjoyed camping and traveling as a family and with friends. When the nest was empty, Eva and Jerry spent a lot of time on his Harley. After Jerry's death in 2009, Eva enjoyed decorating, thrifting and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
Eva is survived by her three daughters, Tammy (Tom) Pilgreen and sons, Stephen, Alex and Michael of Memphis, TN; Kim (Rob) Lovejoy and daughters Ana and Ally of Thief River Falls, MN; and Jodi Martinson and daughter, Eve of Winona; sisters, Mae Kramer of Winona, Lonnie (John) Crooks of Sparta, WI and Kristy (Dan) Theirl of Sparta, WI; brother-in-law, Arlen Martinson of Viroqua, WI; sisters-in-law, Arlys Drazkowski of Winona, Karen (Allen) Burt of Minnesota City, Patty Martinson of Rochester and Judy Stoltman of Winona; and many nieces and nephews.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry in 2009; her parents, brothers-in-law, Merlyn Bernamann, Joe Kramer, Mike Mounce, Bill Drazkowski, Art Martinson, Jr. and Roger Martinson.
Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Saturday January 6, 2018 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview with Phil Gaddis officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Friday and one hour prior to the service, all at the funeral home. Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview is assisting the family with arrangements.
