Ethel A. Agrimson

Peterson, Ethel A. Agrimson, 87, of rural Peterson died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at her home. Ethel was born May 31, 1922 in Wadena, Minnesota to Alfred and Esther (Olson) Peterson. Following high school Ethel worked as a housekeeper for several Minneapolis families, including the Zelley family, owners of Jefferson Bus Lines. Ethel later attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis. On October 30, 1942 Ethel married Paul Agrimson in Wadena. They lived on North Prairie and Vinegar Hill near Rushford before settling south of Fremont in 1950, where they farmed. Ethel was a homemaker and cared deeply about taking care of her family. She enjoyed baking, collecting china and glassware, embroidering, crocheting and entertaining guests for coffee and cookies. Ethel was a very active member of the St. Charles Bible Church. Survivors include her husband Paul, three children; Russell (Lois) Agrimson of Eagan, Gary Agrimson of Rogers and Theone (Dave) Eide of Utica, three grandchildren; Erik (Jenell) Agrimson of St. Paul, Nathan (Heather) Eide of Two Harbors and Kristin Eide of Minneapolis, a great-grandson Gavin Eide, two sisters; Violet Christensen of Jefferson, IA and Jean Agrimson of Utica and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be 11AM Saturday at St. Charles Bible Church with the Reverend James Barnhart officiating. Burial will be in Arendahl Cemetery, rural Peterson. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Friday at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles. They may also call one hour before services at the church.
