Elvira Emilie Tesch, 95 of Lewiston died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Speltz Homes Plus in Lewiston.Elvira was born May 23, 1920 in Utica Township to Emil and Lydia (Dorn) Hardtke. On July 3, 1943 she married Clifford Tesch at her parents' home. Elvira worked for Lake Center Switch for 24 years, both in Lewiston and Rushford. She mowed lawn at St. John's Cemetery and Fremont Scotch Cemetery for 20 years; worked at Lewiston Schools for 15 years in the kitchen and as a crossing guard and also cleaned at Lewiston Monument for 8 years. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church and also a member of the Ladies Dorcas Society for over 50 years.She is survived by one son, David (Pam) Tesch of St. Charles; son-in-law, Rick Schossow of Longville, MN; four grandchildren, Tracie (Rick) Schaber of St. Charles, Andrea (Jimmy) Schwichtenberg of St. Charles, Erin Gbala of St. Charles and Todd (Miranda) Tesch of St. Charles; six great-grandchildren, Jordan (Al Lange) Schaber, Abbie Schaber, Jalen Schwichtenberg, Isaiah Schwichtenberg, Triniti Gbala and Nissi Gbala and one great-great grandson, Trae Lange.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford in 1985; daughter, Arlene Schossow; and brother, Albert Hardtke.Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Reverend Michael A. Lindemann and Reverend Paul Kuckhahn officiating. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Wednesday at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service - Lewiston and one hour prior to the service at church.
