Rollingstone, Elvira Caroline Hoppe, 89, formerly of rural Rollingstone died Tuesday morning November 14, 2006 at the Lewiston Villa. Elvira was born November 24, 1916 on the Stellwagen family farm near Stockton to Benjamin and Caroline (Harloff) Stellwagen. She and Arnold Hoppe were married November 12, 1939 at Grace Lutheran Church in Stockton. They farmed their entire married life on the Hoppe family farm in Norton Township. Arnold died February 2, 1994. She entered the Lewiston Villa October 14, 1998. Elvira was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Norton Township and the church's Ladies Aid. Survivors include two sons Lyle (Betty) Hoppe of Camdenton, Missouri and Warren (Pat) Hoppe of Rollingstone, one son-in-law Fran Krueger of Nisswa, MN, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Elvira was preceded in death by a daughter Karen Krueger, one brother and one sister. Funeral Services will be 11AM Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Ev. Lutheran Church in Norton Township with the Reverend David Eckert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday at Hoff Funeral Home's - Lewiston Chapel.
