Elva M. Parpart

Elva Mae Parpart, 98 of Pickwick, died Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Sauer Health Care in Winona. She was born on September 21, 1920 in Pickwick to Herman and Nora (Armitage) Papenfuss. On April 12, 1946 she married John Parpart. A lifelong resident of Pickwick, Elva worked from home raising her family and caring for the house. She and John also enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by her children, Rosemary (Roy) Wadewitz and David Parpart; sister, Betty Reissman; brother, Eugene (Idella) Papenfuss; brother-in-law, Fred (Betty) Parpart; sister-in-law, Lillian (Neil) Hinkley; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Elva is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; brothers, Clyde (Irene), Ellsworth (Elaine), Arvid (Sylvia), and Weston (Dorothy and Jean).
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sauer Health Care and Winona Hospice for the care they provided to Elva.
A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview. Elva will be laid to rest in Pickwick Cemetery at 10 a.m., Friday, August 9, 2019. Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview, is assisting the family.
