St. Charles, Elmira V. Polzin, 93, of St. Charles died Tuesday morning, December 10th at Golden Living Center in St. Charles. Elmira was born November 9, 1920 in Altura to Charles and Helen (Schreiber) Tews. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1939 and attended Texas A. & I. College. On November 6, 1948 she married David Polzin. They resided in Dover all their married lives. David died in 1981. Elmira has lived in St. Charles since 1987. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St. Charles and was retired from Olmsted County, having worked in data processing. She is survived by her son Larry of Dover, two grandchildren, Jason (Ashley) Polzin and Jyll Polzin, both of St. Charles, and a special little friend Puoha formerly from Indonesia. Her husband David, a son Roger, two brothers and six sisters preceded her in death. Funeral Services for Elmira will be 11 AM Saturday at Hoff Funeral Service in St. Charles with the Reverend Samuel Morsching of St. Matthew Lutheran Church officiating.
