Ellen L. Theis

Winona, MNEllen L. Theis, 89, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at Winona Community Memorial Hospital. Ellen was born November 3, 1916 in Fountain City, WI to Guy and Angeline (Hentges) Culver. She married Albert L. Theis on November 28, 1936. He later died in March of 1992. Ellen was a lifelong homemaker. She and her husband farmed many years on Gilmore Ridge and Stockton Hill until retiring and moving to town in the 1960's. Ellen was a member of Cathedral of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include her two daughters, Patricia Theis of St. Paul, MN and Joyce Fitzgerald of Minnetonka, MN; and four grandsons, James, Kevin, Brian and Colin Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert, son, Lawrence and grandson, Mark.A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 10:30am at St. Casmir's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Sauer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
