Ella May Barnes, 80, of Chatfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at the Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield.
Ella May Parsons was born June 22, 1941, in Winslow AZ, to Herbert and Elizabeth (Bell) Parsons. She graduated from Winslow High School, in 1959. On September 9, 1967 she married Loren Barnes, in Winslow, AZ.
Ella was well known for her crocheting and knitting crafts that she made for family and friends. Her slippers, blankets, hats and mittens and so much more were common household gifts given to those whom she cared for greatly.
Ella is survived by her loving husband, Loren; 3 daughters, Lorri (Rick) Lowrey of Chatfield, Leslie Edwards (Roger Struckhoff) of Marthasville, MO, Amy (Ted) Wienstroer of Cedar Hill, MO; 6 grandchildren, Jason, Maggie, and Aaron Lowrey of Chatfield, Cassidy Edwards of Marthasville, MO, Anthony and Katherine Wienstroer of Cedar Hill, MO; 2 sisters, Betty Rabell of Alpine, CA, Jenny (Jerry) Kincaid of Winslow, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Elizabeth; in-laws Don and Doris Barnes; brother in-law Dick Rabell.
Memorial service for Ella will be 11 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021, at Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church, in Rochester with Pastor Trevor Horton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, August 26, 2021, 5 p.m. - 7p.m. at Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield, and will be one hour before the service on Friday at the church. Burial will be in the Chatfield Cemetery.
