Elizabeth June (Rexford) Hollenbeck

Elizabeth J. Hollenbeck, 90, of Lanesboro, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Park Lane Estates in Preston.

Elizabeth June Rexford was born June 2, 1931, in La Crosse, WI, to William and Alice (Johnson) Rexford. On January 3, 1953, she married Richard Hollenbeck in Portland, OR.  Elizabeth was a member of the American Legion and VFW Ladies Auxiliary groups, and the Martha’s circle at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards, doing puzzles, and cooking, but most on all loved being with her family at family get togethers.

Elizabeth is survived by her 3 children; David of Moose Lake, Gary (Ann) of Minnesota City, Betty (Harold) Burgdorf of Utica; 7 grandchildren, Richard (Sara), Michael, David Jr, Lawrence, Corey, Kiah, Rianna; 5 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Eva, Cody, Tristan, Charles; sister Nancy Olson of Lanesboro.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Arlowe, and grandson Jeremiah.

Funeral service for Elizabeth will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lanesboro, with pastor Kerry Eversole officiating.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the church before the service.  Burial will be at Lanesboro Cemetery following the services.
