Elizabeth C. Wolfram, 98, of Hart, Minn. died on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Lake Winona Manor in Winona, Minn. after a short illness. Elizabeth Caroline Marie Schultz was born on January 15, 1909, in Lincoln Township of Iowa County, Iowa to Charles and Mary (Timm, Meyer) Schultz. She was a 1927 graduate of Guernsey High School. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. John's Lutheran Church in Victor, Iowa. She did housework and taught parochial school before her marriage on June 21, 1933 to Joseph E. Wolfram. They made their home in Hart where from 1942 to 1988 they continued the ownership and operation of the Wolfram family business, The Hart Store, and farmed, raising registered Brown Swiss Cattle and registered Montadale Sheep. Elizabeth was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church of Hart and a 74 year member of St. John's Ladies Aid. A highlight for her was being a delegate to the LWML International Convention in San Diego in 1965. She enjoyed music, played the piano, and sang for weddings and funerals. Her other interests included reading, current events, crossword puzzles, sewing, crafts, and genealogy. She especially liked working in her garden and yard. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband on October 13, 1999, her parents, seven brothers; Rev. Otto, Arthur, Carl, Louis, Albert Schultz, and Forest and Henry Meyer; three sisters Erna Neuhaus, Marie Schultz, Martha Wiedemeier. She is survived by two daughters, Jane Wolfram, Rochester, MN and Mary Wolfram, Richfield, MN; one sister, Laura Schultz, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hart, Minn. with the Rev. David Preuss officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel in Rushford, Minn. and one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church. The family is grateful to the staff of Winona Health in Rushford and Winona for their caring and assistance during her last days.
