Elizabeth "Ann" Ludovissie, 78, of Winona, died Monday, October 17, 2011 at Sauer Memorial Home surrounded by her friends and family.Ann was born on October 22, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to Everett and Hannah (Balf) Manning. In 1944, she and her family moved to Minnesota. Two years after graduating from Staples High School, Ann was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Jim Ludovissie, on June 14, 1952. Since moving to Winona in 1957, Ann has been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was also active in the Eagles Auxiliary #1243. Ann was a loving mother and grandmother. She was helpful, caring, and she welcomed visitors with open arms. She enjoyed traveling to casinos, visiting with friends and family, shopping on QVC, and snacking on cake and chocolate ice cream. Christmas was one of her favorite holidays. She loved decorating the house and hosting family dinners. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Hazelton of Winona; granddaughters, Victoria and Valerie Hazelton of Winona; brothers, Art (Delores) Manning of Staples, MN, Bob Manning of St. Paul, Ron Manning of Palm Springs, CA; her loyal Shih Tzu, Snoopy; and many nieces and nephews. Ann is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jim Ludovissie, who died in 2002; 3 infant sons and 1 infant daughter; sisters-in-law, Sharon and Karen Manning; and her parents.A memorial mass will be offered at 11am on Friday, October 21, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior.
