RUSHFORD, MINN. - Elida M. Engrav, 96, of Rushford, died Saturday, March 27, 2004, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. Elida was born on May 18, 1907, in Whalan, Minn. to Otinius and Thea (Olson) Tandberg. She lived in the Rushford and Peterson areas all of her life. On September 10, 1924 Elida was united in marriage with Carl Engrav at the Highland Prairie Lutheran Parsonage in rural Peterson, Minn. Elida worked for several area flower shops for many years. Her interests included gardening, crafts, and enjoying time with her family. Elida was a lifetime member of Highland Prairie Lutheran Church, as well as being a member of the Rushford Garden Club and the Bird Club in Winona. Elida is survived by one son: Wallace V. (Alice) Engrav of Red Wing, Minn.; one daughter: Audrey (Dale) Overland of Lanesboro, Minn.; 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law, Barb Engrav of Plymouth, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Francis, one granddaughter, Peggy, five brothers, and five sisters. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at the Highland Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Peterson with the Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
