Eleanor M. Dahle, 90, of Rushford, MN, died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, MN. Eleanor was born on January 10, 1918 in Fillmore County to Willie and Elvira (Uden) Grindland. She attended rural schools and on December 10, 1936 married Conrad Dahle. They spent most of their married life farming the family farm except for a few years when they owned and operated the Bratsberg Store. Eleanor was a lifetime member of Highland Prairie Lutheran Church and was active in its ladies organizations. In 1990 she and daughter, Joanne, moved into town and lived together for 18 years. She enjoyed her family and friends, flower gardening, handwork, and baking. Her brownies and date cookies were among the many goodies loved by all. Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Joanne Anderson of Rushford, MN; sister, Minerva Milde of Rochester, MN; brother, Arthur (Bernice) Grindland of Winona, MN; sister, Edel (Marvin) Brand of Rushford, MN; sister, Irene (John) Stopryo of Rochester, MN; sister-in-law, Bernice Grindland of Rushford; two granddaughters, Lisa Gile of Rochester and Michele (Robert) Wick of Rushford; seven great-grandchildren, Jessica Gile, Jennifer Gile, Jaclyn Gile, Jared Gile, Stephanie Wick, Elizabeth Wick, and Nathan Wick; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law, Donald Anderson, and brother, William Grindland. The Funeral Service for Eleanor will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Highland Prairie Lutheran Church in rural Peterson with the Reverend Wade E. Davick officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Prairie Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8pm of Wednesday, May 7 at Hoff Funeral Home- Rushford Chapel and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
