Eldon Francis Hove

St. Charles, Eldon Francis Hove, 86, of St. Charles died Monday February 1, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Eldon was born April 9, 1924 in Red Wing to Ole and Judith (Fredin) Hove. He served in the US Army during WWII as a medic, assisting the injured with physical Therapy. Following the war Eldon owned a photography shop in Clinton, Iowa. He later sold life insurance for Mutual of Omaha in the Minneapolis area. Eldon lived in Montgomery, MN, Austin, Minnesota City, Mille Lacs and Lewiston before moving to St. Charles in 2009. Eldon and Rose Mary Fisler were married in 1977, she survives. He is also survived by two sons; David (Nancy) Hove of Tempe, AZ and Bradley (Anita) Hove of St. Paul, a daughter Noni Threinen of Minneapolis, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, a brother Merle (Margaret) Hove of Coatsville, PA and two sisters, Marie Balcome and Judith (Eugene) Kruempel both of St. Charles. He was preceded in death by a daughter Sandra Lee, an infant daughter Catherine and an infant son Jimmy. Funeral Services will be 11AM Thursday at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service in St. Charles with the Reverend Steven McGinley of Faith Lutheran Church in St. Charles officiating. Cremation will follow with spring burial in Hillside Cemetery, St. Charles. Friends may call from 5-7 PM Wednesday and 10-11 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
