Utica, Elaine Theresa Timm, 81, of Utica, passed away Sunday March 1, 2015 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, surrounded by her family. Elaine was born to George and Theresa (Theis) Schmidt in Winona. She worked as a receptionist in the Winona Unemployment Office until marrying Earl Timm on December 14, 1957 in St. Charles. They live and farmed in rural Utica for the past 57 years. Elaine also worked and retired from Camera Art in Lewiston, following 15 years of service. Elaine was a busy housewife and mother, who enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, reading, baking, music and dancing. She was known for her gorgeous purple irises, which are now being grown by family and friends throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. Family was her first priority in life. Elaine enjoyed spending time and laughing with her children, her four dearly loved granddaughters, and her two precious great-grandchildren, along with other family and friends. Survivors include her husband Earl of Utica; son Robert Timm (friend Diana Martin) of Rochester; three daughters, Karen Timm of Madison, WI; Linda (Greg) Bedard of Brooklyn Park, Gail (George) Price of Rochester; four granddaughters, Vanessa (Daniel) Tesch, Katie & Ashley Price, Emily Timm and two great-grandchildren, Parker and Ella Tesch. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Daniel Schmidt and infant twin sons. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Friday, March 6 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St. Charles with the Reverend Samuel Morsching officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7PM Thursday at Hoff Funeral Service in St. Charles, as well as one hour before services at the church on Friday. The family is very grateful for the compassionate and loving care she received from all the staff at Seasons Hospice, and also from family, friends and neighbors.
