Elaine F Nelson-Greene

Elaine F. Nelson-Greene passed away July 22, 2014 in Sequim, Wa. at the age of 95. She was born February 2, 1919 in Wykoff, Minnesota. Elaine grew up with five brothers. She married LeRoy H. Nelson at age 18, had two sons then moved to Seattle in 1942.

In 1947 they opened Leary Way Lockers and gave birth to their daughter. Elaine managed the books for the Lockers and their construction company which started in the 50’s. She was a homemaker and a mother who cared dearly for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years LeRoy H. Nelson, husband of 18 years Harold Greene, son James L. Nelson , companion of 10 years Bob Purfeerst and four of her brothers.

Elaine is survived by her son Donald of Boulder City, NV, daughter Gloria (Darron) Beall of Sequim, Washington, seven grandchildren, one great grandson, two great great grandsons, brother Harold Westphal of Spring Valley, Minn., sister-in-laws Norma Westphal and Diana Westphal plus several nieces and nephews.

A committal service will be at 10:00 AM,  October 1, 2014 at the Fountain Lutheran Cemetery, in Fountain.  Elaine will be buried alongside LeRoy at the graveside service.
