Edwina Mae Johnson, 81 of Dover, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Olmsted Medical Center in Rochester surrounded by her family. She was born January 10, 1930 in Boise, Idaho to Roland and Genevieve (Tiger) Brunkow. On April 19, 1958 she married Duane Johnson. They moved to the Dover area in 1964 to be closer to family. Eddie was a member of the Dover United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, Confirmation and sang in the choir.Her number one priority was being a mom to her five children. She never missed any of her children or grandchildren's' sporting events and also enjoyed watching wrestling and Dog the Bounty Hunter on TV. She loved spending time outdoors, especially camping and fishing and family reunions in Idaho. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and willingness to help anyone and everyone.Eddie is survived by her children, Robert Johnson of Tolleson, AZ, Deborah Reimers of Rochester, Pat "Patty" (Larry) Esser of Rochester and Sandy (Robert) Ihrke of Dover; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth (Ernie) Steelsmith of Nampa, Idaho and Vickie (Crayton) Silliman of Boise, Idaho. She is preceded in death by her husband; son, Duane; three grandchildren and brother, Raymond and her mother, Ida Genevieve Anderson.A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 4 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service in St. Charles with the Reverend Heather E. Klason officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in rural Dover.
