TREMPEALEAUEdwin "Ed" H. Wilber, 64 of Centerville, WI passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.He was born November 16, 1949 in Galesville, WI to Merlin and Lucille (Jung) Wilber. He attended Healy Memorial High School in Trempealeau. He also served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Ed worked for 30 plus years at Peerless Chain in Winona until he retired 8 years ago. Ed has always loved music and started playing and singing at an early age, 8 years old. He has played with many musicians throughout the years and many of them have become lifelong friends. Ed always enjoyed playing for people in hospitals, nursing homes, and for friends and family.He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marilyn (Foegen) Wilber of Trempealeau; his children, Eric Wilber of Centerville and Todd (Shannon) Wilber of Holmen; two special grandchildren, Kaiden and Brody Wilber; brother, Frank (Donna) Wilber; half-brother, John (Erin) Wilber; half-sisters, Luann (Chris) Wood, Lisa (Kevin) Anderson, and Karen Wilber; sister-in-law, Janel Wilber; special friend, John Bernadot; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Lucille; half-brother, Mark Wilber; nephews, Rick Wilber, Donny Wilber, and Brad Kampa.A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:30-6:30pm on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview. Funeral service will be at 11am on Tuesday at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior. Reverend Jon Cox of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate.
