Edward P. Steinfeldt

Edward P. Steinfeldt, 95, died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, WI. Ed was born March 31, 1914, in Pickwick, MN, to Ernie and Anna (Larson) Steinfeldt. He married Eleanor Unnasch on November 22, 1941 at South Ridge. Ed was a life long farmer who enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and gardening and especially liked taking his rides on his "gator". He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ridgeway, MN.Survivors include his wife, Eleanor; three children, Joyce (Lyle) Fritz of Homer, MN, Robert Steinfeldt of Cedar Ridge, and Fred (Jane Fossler) Steinfeldt of Dakota, MN; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Florence Bublitz of Winona, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Paul, Rolland, Emil, Harold, Leroy and Victor, and sisters, Dorothy and Elnora.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 24th, at 11:00am at Grace Lutheran Church in Ridgeway, MN, with the Reverend Anthony Straseske officiating. Burial will be in the Pickwick Cemetery. Friends may call at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service Hansen Goodview Chapel on Tuesday from 5-8:00pm and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
