Edward L. Brown, 70, died Saturday, August 22, 2009, at his home in Stockton, MN. Ed was born February 21, 1939, in Winona, MN, to Rex and Violet (Endreys) Brown. He married Janice Lerol on October 25, 1958, at Rushford Lutheran Church in Rushford, MN. Ed was a meat cutter for many years and then worked at St. Anne of Winona for 11 years before retiring in 2004. He was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Winona. Ed was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, archery, black powder, boating camping, and bird watching. He has owned Harley Davidson motorcycles and enjoyed taking motorcycle trips with his family. He enjoyed playing computer games and enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas and Laughlin, NV. Ed and Janice in their retirement enjoyed camping trips, motorcycle and scooter rides, boating and fishing, and visiting family. They enjoyed their 50th wedding anniversary last October with a large reception in Stockton.Survivors include Ed's wife, Janice; his three children, Steve (Teresa) Brown of Rushford, MN, Richard (Nancy) Brown of Bridge Port, WV, and Vicki (Brian) McDonald of Minnesota City, MN; six grandchildren, Ashley, Megan, Kaitlin, Rachel, Corey and Kyle; brother, Leo (Bev) Brown of Melrose, WI; sisters, Jacqueline Hermann of Goodview, MN, Loucetta (Merlin) Lidtke of Winona, MN, Delpha Serva of Winona, MN, and Anna Mae Costello of Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Audrey, and brothers, Elwood, Jake, Harold and Lynn.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 26th, at 1:00pm at Central Lutheran Church with the Reverend Jeff Franko officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. Friends may at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service Hansen Goodview Chapel on Tuesday from 4-7:00pm and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
