Edward "Eddie" Marino

Edward "Eddie" Marino, 61 of Winona, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at his home.

Eddie was born on January 10, 1963 in Chicago, IL to William Charles and Pamela J (Faber) Marino.  His dad passed away when Eddie was very young and his mom married Richard Maxwell who raised him.  Eddie joined the United States Army.  After his discharge, he returned to Winona where his greatest joy was realized with the birth of his daughter, Samantha “Sami” on October 9, 1999.  Ed was proud of his achievements, whether it be truck driving, welding, fabricating or bartending.  He took a lot of pride in umpiring through Park and Rec and used his skills to mentor many kids throughout the years.  Ed’s hobbies included racquetball, softball, fishing, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.  For those that knew Eddie, he was the extremely proud owner of Fast Eddie’s.  When you walked in the door his smile and “Hey You” greeted friends and all.  He will be missed.

He is survived by his daughters, Sami Marino and Alissha Thiele; mother, Pam Maxwell; siblings, Nancy (Chris) Stevens, Robert Maxwell, Frances (Brad) Burdick; many nieces and nephews; his partner, Cyndee Marino and their little dog, Miss Mabel.  

He was preceded in death by his fathers, William Marino and Richard Maxwell and a brother, Richie Maxwell.

A Celebration of his life will be 4 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, led by Funeral Celebrant Jen Corcoran.  Military Honors will follow.  Visitation will be 3 p.m., until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.  Everyone is encouraged to wear Fast Eddie's shirts or Packers gear.
