Edward A. Peterson

Edward A. Peterson, 100, died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, MN. Ed was born October 7, 1906, in Rushford, MN to Peter and Lev (Stromme) Peterson. He married Josephine Woxland on October 19, 1927 in Rushford, MN. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2003. Together they had celebrated 75 years of marriage. Ed was a life long farmer who had served on the Hart Creamery Board, Town Board, Country School Board and served on the Rushford Village Council. He was a member of Rushford Lutheran Church. Ed is remembered for his love of playing cards, fishing and having family gatherings especially holidays.Survivors include his four children, Jane (Pete) Quamen of Rushford, MN, Doris (Ken) Feine of St. Charles, MN, Connie (Gary) Boyum of Danbury, WI and Dennis (Ruth) Peterson of Rushford, MN; 9 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; sister, Agnes Bothun of Lanesboro, MN; and 3 sisters-in-law, Olive Peterson of Rushford, MN and Olive Peterson of Peterson, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Josephine, great granddaughter, Chloe Boyum and five brothers, Carl, Oscar, Gilbert, Palmer and Leonard.Funeral services are planned for Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at 1:00pm at Rushford Lutheran Church with the Rev. Roger Michaelson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Hoff Funeral Homes ? Rushford Chapel on Tuesday from 5-8:00pm and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
