Lewiston, Edgar Prigge, 93, of Lewiston died Sunday morning November 26, 2006 at the Lewiston Villa. Edgar was born May 4, 1913, in Lewiston to Carl and Emma (Richter) Prigge. He and Erna Grams were married on June 2, 1937 in Pleasant Valley. The couple lived in Stockton until 1942. They farmed near Lewiston from 1942 until moving in to town in 1945. Edgar worked or Lewiston Elevator from 1945-1950. Edgar then worked as a John Deere Implement Salesman for Feiten Implement in Winona, then for Lewiston Auto and Wagnild Chevrolet of Winona, retiring in 1981. Edgar was proud of the being the top salesmen at Wagnild's for 11 of the 12 years he worked there. His wife, Erna died May 27, 1998. He enjoyed working with his raspberries, grapes and apple trees. Edgar was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Lewiston. His faith was of great importance to him. Survivors include two sons William (Sally Jo) Prigge Cheyenne, WY and James (Carmen) Prigge of Lewiston, seven grandchildren, Kimberly Jo (Phil) Munson; Christina (Dick) Montgomery; Tricia (Wyatt) Renk; Tessa (Jarod) Tews; Timothy Prigge; Nathan Prigge; and Chelsea Prigge; four great-grandchildren, Bo and Ashley Tews; Kristofer Munson and Sienna Renk, and a sister Irene (Robert) Dorothy of Bismark, ND. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a brother Gerhart and two sisters Gertrude Aldrich and Lydia Smith. Funeral Services will be 11AM Friday at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Lewiston with the Reverend's David A. Fischer and Michael A. Lindemann officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
